Conklin Ceili Band
The Conklin Ceili Band has been recognized over the years for bringing a unique take to the music of the Irish and the Irish around the world, as well as one of Michigan's favorite Irish bands. Musically they present the music in a way that is familiar, yet unique and in a way that just stays in your head. This is accomplished by arrangements that combine trad tunes and songs in ways that you may not have heard before. The songs can be very old or contemporary, they might be from Irish composers, or from Irish American contemporary composers. They combine history, customs, and folklore in a way that ties you to the Irish experience, and you walk away from the show having just had a great time. The formula seems to work well.
