To produce a quality Midwest Irish Music Festival that promotes Irish culture and heritage while enhancing the community through entertainment, tourism, education and philanthropy.
The Core Values that we believe in and keep in focus when planning the Michigan Irish Music Festival are:
Exceptional Customer Service
Our festival is proud to support Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry and the Salvation Army with gifts of non-perishable food items and also annual donations. In 2011, the festival supplied over 800 lbs. of food for the pantry and provided a cash donation of $10,000 which was added to a donation of $5,000 from the annual St. Patrick's Party held in March.
In 2012, over 1000 pounds of food was supplied to pantries and $20,000 was donated to Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. The Salvation Army received $5000 in donations, bringing the total to $25,000.
In 2013, MIMF collected 1,243 pounds of food at the festival. In addition, $22,500 was donated to two local pantries (Loaves & Fishes and the Salvation Army). After winning the Celebrated Service Award from Celebration Cinema, we donated the entire $5,000 to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry of Muskegon, bringing our 2013 cash total to $27,500.
In 2014 we contributed over $25,000 between two local organizations working to make sure people in our community have the most important basic need: FOOD. We supported Muskegon KIDS FOOD BASKET and LOAVES & FISHES food pantry. We also collected over 3,000 pounds of non-perishable food items for Loaves & Fishes!
In 2015, we again supported Muskegon Kid's Food Basket and Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry to continue community efforts to feed the hungry. Each year we collect non-perishable food items at our festival and special events. 2015 cash donations totaled $37,309.
